The Golden Balls player of the month award for the month of October 2005 goes to second XI midfielder Andy Smith.  The youngster has put in a string of excellent performances for Martyn Morgan's team and is definitely going to have a very bright future, hopefully for Old Wulfrunians.  His only fault is that he must have spent too long with Rovers as he supports the team who wear the Tesco carrier bag kit.  Despite this we hope he can continue to show the excellent form he has shown all season.  Well done Andy.

The winner of the Alabama Moose of the Month award for the month of October 2005 is Stuart Ridley.  There have been some spectacular debuts for the club in the past.  My own debut saw me score two goals and cause absolute carnage in the changing room after with a tube of Deep Heat.  Richard Cooper did a sixty mile round trip for his 'debut' but failed to find the ground but Stu went one step better.  Selected to play for the fourth XI, Stu phoned his manager Chris Nicholls at 1.30pm to tell him he couldn't play because he was still drunk from the night before. Nice one Stu.

The Jack Attack manager of the month award for the month of October 2005 goes, once again,  to second XI manager Martyn Morgan.  Martyn has been an absolute revelation since taking over the running of the second XI.  He brought with him a talented batch of young players and has added one or two older heads to make the team into a very solid performing unit.  During this month the second XI picked up two wins and a draw and performed with a great level of consistency.  Well done Martyn.
