An interesting Senior Cup tie came in the shape of Wulfs' trip to unbeaten 1st Division pace-setters BBGR.  With both teams unbeaten something had to give..... unless it was a draw.... or abandoned .... or the world ended.
Anyhow, after sampling the delights of most of Solihull and some of Shirley the game kicked off bang on time.  The holders were somewhat under strength (Harty was playing for God's sake!) and the lack of continuity showed in the early stages as a sprightly home side scrapped and battled like the 4th XI midfield for the last sausage roll.
Finally some semblance of order was restored when Liam Evans and Tony Morrison combined down the right before big Tone found Steve Rich in the box who fired home from close range.  0-1
Notable first half chances for Evans and John Muir came and went, both showing the composure of a paedophile in a crèche (quite appropriate for Darius) as they blasted well over the bar when through on goal.
A stern half time talking to was in order and it did the trick as the double winners trebled their lead within five minutes of the re-start.  First came a move straight off the training ground as David Thompson launched a cultured hail mary deep into enemy territory.  Tony Morrison latched onto it before fouling half of the defence and beating the keeper with ease.  0-2
Then Si Hardle produced a touch of magic that belied his p*ssed up state (that's twice in a row boss) as he drilled an inch-perfect cross in from the right wing for Rich to theatrically head home two minutes after being told by the centre half "you ain't won f*ck all in the air today mate".  0-3
The scoring was complete after 83 minutes when a right wing cross was comically headed in by the opposing defender from 25 yards.  0-4
Much credit must go to Jason "jingle jangle" Scott who was a more than able replacement for yours and my hero Tim Tipton in goal.  Apparently goalkeepers are allowed to leave their 6 yard box.
