Old Wulfrunians v Britannic Assurance

Not a good day for the second XI.

When the highlight of the afternoon is taking the piss out of the Hockey players, then you know it is bad, but neither team had a kit, the players seem to be either twelve or sixty-five, and they cheer far too loudly when a goal goes in!

Anyway, back to the football.  Wulfs were 2 - 0 down before they realised that marking, passing and controlling were vital parts of the game.

Things improved slightly in the second half after deserved bollockings were handed out to all.

However, a breakaway goal made it 3 - 0 to Britannic and only a late Greg Louganis dive from Chris Tranter allowed James Lane to score a consolation from the spot.

None of the thirteen players used could claim to have had a decent game and the result was more than fair.

The day was summed up after the game when Jamie Perkins had a two minute crisis thinking someone had taken his wallet from the valuables bag.  When he realised he had locked it in his car, the mickey taking flowed.  "Losing your opponent and your wallet in the same afternoon is too much!"

Final score: Old Wulfrunians 1  Britannic Assurance 3.
