Erin Go Bragh v Old Wulfrunians

The fourth XI made the trip across the Irish sea to face the team aptly named 'Ireland Forever'.

Wulfs started brightly and nearly went ahead only for Adam Hughes to be hacked down when bearing down on goal.  The malicious Erin defender rightly receiving a yellow card for his misdemeanour.

Wulfs again pressed hard but unfortunately went 1 - 0 down when they were caught on the break.  A mis-hit clearance was put back into the six yard box where it was headed home past the helpless Ashley Brown.

The rest of the first half was end to end stuff with neither team finding the net again but both could have been comfortably ahead at half time.

Wulfs again started brightly in the second half and were knocking the ball around well using Stefan Kapcia as an outlet on the left.

They were again unlucky to concede a second goal after being caught on the break again.

The second goal had really knocked the stuffing out of Wulfs and they went on to concede two more late goals whilst pressing for a lifeline.

Unlucky on the day, with a weak referee not helping their cause, Wulfs will rue the missed chances that cost them the chance of making a game of it.

The main things to take out of the game were bright performances from new boy Chris Lowe and debutant keeper Ashley Brown.

Final score: Erin Go Bragh 4  Old Wulfrunians 0.
