This was once again an entertaining display, not from the fifth team but from the ref Ron "Sven Goran Eriksson" Carruthers who was also man of the match.  Never has it been know for a ref to coach both teams throughout a good natured game of football and threaten to book players without bringing his cards out of the changing rooms.

The fifth team once again were unlucky to go down by 2-1 score line after taking the lead with a good finish by Anzer Nabeel's first goal for the Wulfs.  Wulfs then lost midfielder Chris Nicholls with a knee injury and at this point also conceded Sutton's equaliser whilst trying to re-group.

Both teams counter attacked each other but Sutton looked the stronger side, but couldn't find anyway past the defensive qualities of Danny Cheal, Pete Oakley, Rob James and Rob Clifford-Hill in the Wulfs Goal.

Halftime 1-1

Sutton started the second half much stronger than they end the first but the Wulfs defence soaked up the pressure and caught Sutton on the back foot, with Ian "Wrighty "Phillips latching onto a clearance and out pacing the Sutton centre halves and goalkeeper it looked like Wulfs would be taking a 2-1 lead.  Instead Wrighty was shot by some kind of Sutton sniper in the bushes at the rear of the goal forcing the ball over the crossbar.

Sutton from the resulting goal kick then broke away and scored, this was then disallowed by the Ref "Sven" as he thought it was offside, get out of jail card if you ask me.

To be fair Wulfs deserved there point and worked hard, but lady luck wasn't shinning for the Wulfs and Sutton scored there second to snatch the points from the Wulfs.

A mention must go to the Midfield Mike "Miracle" Jennings-Bell, Mike Hill, Rich Lovegrove and Gaz "Cartman" Hawkswood who is also up for The John Smith Have It Award,  Also Robin Lowbridge who played his part as our linesman.
