The fifth XI were full of hope when they travelled to play Rubery with Michael Jennings-Bell returning from injury and Joe Williams and Rob Edwards making their debuts.
Unfortunately the recent trend of starting very slowly struck again and Wulfs found themselves 3 - 0 behind at half time and hadn't really given a true account of what they are capable of. The recent run of poor results has taken it's toll and confidence must be improved to put an end to the game ending half time deficits.
However, in the second half things improved with the introduction of Rob Edwards who looks to be a very good acquisition for the club.
In a strong fight back, Wulfs were not only unlucky not to score, but also conceded a late fourth goal.
There were some good performances, notably from Adam Pugh in midfield and Danny Cheal at the back. The rest of the team needs to match their efforts.
Finally a mention for Joe Williams who made a fine debut in goal.
Final score: Rubery 4 Old Wulfrunians 0.
