Welcome
Old Wulfrunians Football Club would like to extend a warm welcome to recent new recruits Joe Williams, Rob Edwards, Jack Gould and Daz Gough, all of whom have already made a good impression on the club.
Welcome back
Old Wulfrunians Football Club would like to extend a warm welcome to two recent recruits who have returned from long absences. Matt Williams played his first game of the season following his close season appendix operation and Dave Stentiford made his first appearance for the club for more that two years. Welcome back to both.
Dimmack and Scarey use their heads
Fourth XI co-managers showed all of their vast experience on Saturday when they opted to throw their Bill Hill Cup game against Village to allow them to concentrate on climbing the league and winning the Holder Cup. Carey was quoted as saying "we knew it would reflect bad on the club if the fourth XI won the Bill Hill Cup ahead of our second XI and third XI so we fell on our own sword". Good work boys.
More injury news
It is with great regret that I have to report on yet another injury. Midfield general Jamie Perkins damaged his ankle ligaments during the first XI's Senior Cup win over BBGR and will be out for at least a couple of months.
The G Factor
With G4 doing so well on the X Factor, the fifth XI hoped that G3 could do the same for them when they announced a subs bench consisting of Gould, Goodwin and Gayle. It obviously paid off as they picked up their first win of the season with young Jack Gould grabbing one of the goals.
